Dear Strawberry Hill Families,
As the new year starts and we move along in our journey to provide a nurturing and challenging learning environment for all our students, we would like to bring to your attention one of the most important characteristics within the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile: Open-Mindedness.
Open-mindedness is the active seeking of new perspectives, learning from others, and embracing the diversity of ideas, cultures, and experiences that make our community special. It encourages our students to approach challenges with curiosity, respect, and the willingness to see the world through different lenses.
As a PTO community, we can foster this development through conversations that increase understanding and empathy and by encouraging a feeling of inclusivity. Let us continue to model and celebrate open-mindedness in everything we do in our efforts of inspiring our children to be compassionate and thoughtful individuals.
Thank you for continuing to support making our school community a place for students to learn and grow with open minds. We hope to see everyone at our PTO meeting this Wednesday, it’s virtual!
